Maison St Marcel

OK, the poor selection of kitchen utensils was (frankly) a disappointment and only one electric shoe cleaner ...... second rate.  And how is a family of nine supposed to drink with only 67 (whoops now 66) glasses !

For the avoidance of doubt my silly husband was joking above.  We have had such a lovely time here.  Fantastic and generous hosts, lovely village location and the house/equipment was everything we would have wished for.  We recommend Chez Nannie for pizza's in the evening.  A beautiful area.  Bruce, Heather and family.

This is a stunning property not done justice by the website.  As a party of food-loving, kitchen proud people we found the house exceptionally well appointed with every utensil one could hope for.  This has not only been a serene and beautiful base for our two weeks but also an excellent launching pad into the markets, restaurants, castles, mountains and beach of Cathar country.  We have enjoyed them all immensely.  Of particular note, Le Parc restaurant in Carcassonne and the breathtaking views from the summits of Pic St Barthelemy and Pic de Soularac.  Also Gayda has the best views, good value food and wine of any restaurant we have been to (it is just walkable if you have an hour and half to spare).  Last but by no means least, Ian and Sandie have been superb landlords/hosts, our profound thanks.  Piers & Hua

It was a wonderful, relaxing week here.  A pity it was only week or so as we were just beginning to fully relax when it was all over and time to leave.  This is an idyllic location and one which we all hope to visit again.  Thank you for having given us this wonderful holiday.  Sean, Kate & Evan

I had the most wonderful relaxing holiday in your lovely home in Routier.  Batteries recharged and ready to tackle another year at work...... Thank you for all your kindness, loved having Riley about - he is the sweetest dog.  I'd love to visit again as there is so much to see and do in the area.  Aideen
